   Position One:

  • Immigration Officers – Immigration New Zealand Beijing Branch

  • Permanent position

We are focused on firms and sectors accessing the labour skills they need to be productive. We also support sectors such as tourism and international education to deliver their growth strategies. With staff operating globally our work includes migrant attraction, visa facilitation, border protection and refugee resettlement.

 

INZ Beijing Branch invites applications from candidates who operate with integrity in all transactions and have a broad educational background with some tertiary study. 

 

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • the ability to manage fluctuating workloads and work to tight deadlines

  • excellent oral and written communication skills in Mandarin and English

  • experience in excellent customer service and working within a team

  • ability to interpret legislation, procedural and immigration instruction guidelines, and frame clear assessments and conclusions

  • experience in working with all people of differing cultural backgrounds, gender and abilities

  • knowledge of the principles of fairness and natural justice

  • experience in assessing and analysing documentary evidence, including exercising sound judgement

     

The applicant must have the ability to work in China (you must be a Chinese citizen or New Zealand citizen). The remuneration range is RMB 125,500 to 188,250 per annum. Any relocation or accommodation costs will be at the successful applicant’s expense.

Position Two:

  • Senior Administration & Finance Officer – Immigration New Zealand Beijing Area Office

  • Permanent Beijing based role

Immigration New Zealand (INZ) ensures that New Zealand has the right mix of skilled workers as part of achieving the MBIE goal of helping lift productivity. With over 1,000 people, we identify the country’s labour force and skill needs, manage the immigration process and provide support and policy advice for the government’s employment, skills and immigration initiatives.

 

INZ Beijing Area Office are seeking a positive Senior Administration & Finance Officer who operates with the highest level of integrity, has energy and determination to achieve results and has a broad educational background with relevant financial tertiary study.

 

Our successful Senior Administration & Finance Officer will have:

 

  • Ability to manage and develop large office and support systems and learn from new experiences and situations

  • Experience in financial work and understanding of accounting concepts, financial and budget management, best practice in office management and administrative functions

  • Experience in working in foreign currency preferable

  • Ability to analyse financial reports and report writing skills to convey critical information clearly and succinctly

  • Experience in working effectively requiring minimum supervision while managing and organising fluctuating workloads

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with diverse stakeholders

  • Strong organisational and problem solving skills

  • Experience in working with all people of differing cultural backgrounds, gender and abilities

  • Ability to stay ocused under pressure and prioritise to meet deadlines

  • Proven integrity when handling sensitive information

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in Mandarin and English

 

All applicants must have the ability to work lawfully in China. The remuneration range is RMB 192,222 to 288,334 per annum. The commencement salary will be dependent on experience. Note: any relocation and/or accommodation costs will be at the successful candidate’s own expense.
